National Geoscience Data
The geology of Tanzania, at your fingertips.
NGMRIS — the National Geo-data & Mineral Resources Information System — is the Geological Survey of Tanzania's gateway to geological maps, mineral-resource data, laboratory results and the national geoscience archive.
About the survey
A century of mapping the ground beneath us.
The Geological Survey of Tanzania collects, curates and publishes the country's geoscientific record — the maps, mineral data, samples and reports that underpin responsible mining, land-use planning and research. NGMRIS brings that record online so anyone can discover it, and the public can buy and download it through the Data Shop.
